Abs Exercises Without Crunches
Very few of us are aware of the fact that good Abs can be obtained without the help of crunches. Many people are not in the favor of performing crunches as they are difficult to perform as well as they cause injuries too. People think that Abs only means having six packs and all. But it is important to note that there are another set of muscles called obliques which are placed diagonally from the ribcage towards the hips. They play important role in performing motion in the body. Another layer of muscles are also there but they are hardly visible to anyone still they have an important role in the movement and they act as a back brace.
Why Abs Exercises Without Crunches
For obtaining a good body structure one should have a strong core. A strong package of body and tighter midsection will make the whole body sound and healthy.
Obtaining good Abs is not that difficult as it can also be obtained without crunches. There are some simple exercises which can make you healthier with out bringing you in trouble:
- The bicycle maneuver - first of all lies down on the floor and allows your head to touch at the ground hardly so that your neck bones will feel the pain. Allow your lower back to touch the ground and do not move it from there. Make an angle of forty five degrees with your knees and start paddling in air as you are paddling a bicycle.
- The Plank and side plank - lie down on the floor keeping your face down towards floor and just prop your elbows and toes out. You have to keep your hips very tight as it will be quite difficult to perform if you will not keep them in right posture. You have to stay in the same condition for a longer period as much as you can stay. Then turn comes of side plank and you just have to move side and allow your one hand and toe propping out. This exercise is important as well as difficult to perform so take care of your body posture.
- Leg tucks - sit on a bench and just hold your hands tightly with the bench and make a good balance. Lift your legs towards your chest slowly and perform the whole activity.
